How to Use:
Step 1: Hold the Avocado Tool firmly in one hand with the other hand holding the avocado. Push the flat thin side of the tool into the peel of the avocado until you feel the tool hit the solid seed in the center. A firm but gentle pressure is all that is needed to start splitting the avocado. With the tool touching the seed in the center, gently rotate the avocado keeping the tool slicing the avocado as you turn it until you have rotated it all the way around. Use the tool, still inside the split avocado, to separate the halves apart. The seed will remain in one side only.
Step 2: Use the jagged teeth found on one corner of the tool to gently dig into the flesh of the avocado just under the seed and use a rocking motion to loosen and lift the seed and dispose of it.
Step 3: Locate the curved side of the tool. Use the roundness of that side to gently insert the tool between the skin and the flesh of the avocado to completely scoop out the contents of the avocado safely and easily leaving the skin intact and ready to dispose of. This is generally accomplished with a single scoop.
The Avocado Tool is made of stainless steel and will never rust or stain. It is dishwasher safe and does not require any special storage considerations.
