Pepper Cellar

$8.99

The Pepper Cellar stores ground pepper in an airtight stable container.

Why Blind-Friendly?
Grinding fresh black pepper in real-time when cooking can be time-consuming and requires 2 hands to operate the pepper mill. With vision loss, it is almost impossible to know how much ground pepper you are producing with each turn of the grinder. Grinding the pepper in advance and storing it in an airtight jar makes this task more efficient and ensures a fresh easy to measure potent product at your command.

This heavy-duty pepper cellar has a remarkably stable design so it is almost impossible to knock it over even when the lid is open. The lid is attached by wires so it will never get lost and when open, adds to the stability of the cellar. The wide mouth of the opening into the cellar allows access for just a pinch of ground pepper with the fingers, or the insertion of a teaspoon or tablespoon. It is a distinctive shape, weight, and size, and with the tactile marking on the lid,  it is easy to know you have the right jar.

Description

Use and Care:
Fill the jar with up to one-half cup of freshly ground pepper. Keep the lid closed to keep dust and insects out and the freshness in.

It is made of thick heavy glass and stainless steel wires so it is easy to clean.  It should be washed by hand to make sure the tactile lid marker stays affixed. It is recommended to clean the jar between refills. Be careful to make sure it is completely dry before refilling or the pepper might mold over time.
