Chef Debra Erickson is the founder of The Blind Kitchen and an instructor at the Oregon Commission for the Blind. The Blind Kitchen offers adaptive tools, helpful strategies, and specialized knowledge to people who are blind or vision impaired and want to cook safely, confidently, and independently. The Cut Glove is the easiest way to safely chop and prepare ingredients in your kitchen. You can literally run your blade across it and keep your hands safe! 🔪

We want to tell you about one of our favorite and We want to tell you about one of our favorite and most useful tools. Our Auto Measure Spout! With this spout placed firmly on any bottle of liquid, you can literally turn the bottle upside down and it will dispense exactly one tablespoon of liquid and it stops all by itself even if you continue to hold it upside down! We always keep it at hand for whenever we need to dispense olive or vegetable oil on our stovetop!

Nothing tastes quite like a corn on the cob. We lo Nothing tastes quite like a corn on the cob. We love to roast or boil it, slather it with butter and salt and it eat it right off the cob! In that spirit, we have a tool that makes prepping our corn easy and quick! While this is useful to the vision-impaired chef, its also great to have for anyone who loves corn like we do!🌽🌽
